Lockport Railyard

Description
Excellent skatepark that’s worth a long drive. Great variety of transition and street obstacles, including several features that bridge a gap.
Construction began in fall 2023; the skatepark officially opened April 20, 2024.

Indoor skatepark inside the McKinley Mall. One of the best and largest skateparks in the area. Only indoor skatepark in the area with a bowl.

Description
Nice skatepark in a small town. There’s a pump track on one side of the park.

Luke Nelson (Medina)

Phatman

Description
The skateshop contains an indoor, concrete skatepark. Occasionally the park is open for events, but otherwise you can rent the park by the hour. As of 2024, they charge $30 per hour for up to ten people. Call the shop to set it up.

Description
In 2023 it was closed for maintenance. As of summer 2024, pickleball courts have replaced the skatepark.

Bryce Buchholz (Keysa Park)
Location
Keysa Park, Vandenberg Ave, Lancaster, NY 14086
Description
This is a fairly large skatepark. While it lacks an actual manual pad, the park has a decent variety of obstacles. In addition to the standard elements, there are mellow banks for beginners, and a big euro gap for advanced skaters. There’s some room for flat-ground skating in the corners of the park.
LaSalle
Location
Ralph Wilson Park, Buffalo, NY 14202
Description
One of the most popular skateparks in the area. There’s a wide variety of obstacles for street skating, and there’s also a bowl.
While the skatepark opened in 2013, it was completed in three phases with phase II completed in 2017 and phase III completed in 2021.
Gregory Hayes Holler (Ives Park)

209 York St, Tonawanda, NY 14150
Description
There’s an elevated section in between 3’ quarter pipes. Most of the features, like the rails and ledges, are built into the banks on this section. There’s also a weird box and manual pad. On the side of the park is a space for flat-ground skating.
Dunkirk
Location
Wright Park Dr, Dunkirk, NY 14048
Description
Modular skatepark, though the features and surface are concrete. Has one of the only volcanoes in the area. There’s a large area for flat-ground skating. The surface and ramps are in need of maintenance, but the park is still skatable.

Fort Erie
Location

Description
This skatepark is across the border, but it’s close enough that it might be an option for you. Of course, you’d be driving right past Lasalle if you take the Peace Bridge.
Fort Erie provides a live stream of the skatepark–you can see if the park is crowded before you go.
Hamburg (Bayview Rd)

Description
Modular ramps on a rough asphalt surface. The ramps are in bad shape.
Hamburg’s new concrete skatepark will open soon.

Outer Harbor DIY
Location
702 Fuhrmann Boulevard, Buffalo, NY 14203
Description
DIY in Buffalo’s Outer Harbor. The surface is concrete, and the middle is slightly raised above the rest of the park. Some spots are prone to flooding.
There’s another, smaller DIY down the road.
March 2024 update
The DIY is in good shape. A new (unusually short) flat rail was installed (bolted to the concrete).
Yates Park
Location
200 N Lake Dr, Orchard Park, NY 14127
Description
Pre-fab concrete features on an unskatable asphalt surface. The park is likely to be flooded long after the season’s snow has melted. The only good thing about this skatepark is that it’s always empty.
