Description Excellent skatepark that’s worth a long drive. Great variety of transition and street obstacles, including several features that bridge a gap.
Construction began in fall 2023; the skatepark officially opened April 20, 2024.
Bathrooms There are bathrooms in the park. If you’re lucky, they’ll be unlocked.

Description Indoor skatepark inside the McKinley Mall. One of the best and largest skateparks in the area. Only indoor skatepark in the area with a bowl.

Ellicottville
Location 11 Parkside Dr, Ellicottville, NY 14731
Description The park contains a large bowl that takes up about 2/3 of the space. There’s a street section with a 4’ quarter pipe, a small bump, a flat rail, a combination box and manual pad, and a hip. In between the bowl and street section is very small transition that can be useful.

Description Nice skatepark in a small town. There’s a pump track on one side of the park.

Description Excellent skatepark that’s worth a long drive. Great variety of transition and street obstacles, including a unique large ramp wall.

Alix Rice Peace Park
Location Amherst Northtown Center, Amherst, NY 14221
Description A corner of the park has 2’ quarter pipes with a round manual pad in between, which is popular. There’s also a 4’ quarter pipe and two bowls.
There’s some graffiti and artwork on the walls of the park; even non-skaters might want to check it out.

Description Modular skatepark with an asphalt surface.
In 2023 it was closed to maintenance. Unsure of when or if it will reopen.

Hyde Park
Location 898 Hyde Park Blvd, Niagara Falls, NY 14301
Description This would be a great skatepark, but the concrete needs some maintenance. The miniramp is unusable (for skateboards anyway).
Parking No parking lot. Park on the street next to the skatepark.

Bryce Buchholz (Keysa Park)
Location Keysa Park, Vandenberg Ave, Lancaster, NY 14086
Description This is a fairly large skatepark. While it lacks an actual manual pad, the park has a decent variety of obstacles. In addition to the standard elements, there are mellow banks for beginners, and a big euro gap for advanced skaters. There’s some room for flat-ground skating in the corners of the park.
Phase II, including an A-frame and 3’ quarter pipe, was completed in 2018.

LaSalle
Location Ralph Wilson Park, Buffalo, NY 14202
Description One of the most popular skateparks in the area. There’s a wide variety of obstacles for street skating, and there’s also a bowl.
While the skatepark opened in 2013, it was completed in three phases with phase II completed in 2017 and phase III completed in 2021.
People like to park nearby and show off how loud their cars’ sound systems are.

Gregory Hayes Holler (Ives Park)
Location 209 York St, Tonawanda, NY 14150
Description There’s an elevated section in between 3’ quarter pipes. Most of the features, like the rails and ledges, are built into the banks on this section. There’s also a weird box and manual pad. On the side of the park is a space for flat-ground skating.

Blasdell DIY
Location Telfer St, Blasdell, NY 14219
Description DIY in Blasdell with boxes, rails, and some small transition elements.
March 2024 update The pool coping on the larger box and steep ramp is gone. The ramp thresholds have chipped away and could use some maintenance.

Dunkirk
Location Wright Park Dr, Dunkirk, NY 14048
Description Modular skatepark, though the features and surface are concrete. Has one of the only volcanoes in the area. There’s a large area for flat-ground skating. The surface and ramps are in need of maintenance, but the park is still skatable.

Description Modular skatepark with a decent asphalt surface. The ramps are mellow, which is good for begineers. However, most of the features need some maintenance.

Fort Erie
Location 1554 1572 Garrison Rd, Fort Erie, ON L2A 2S6, Canada
Description This skatepark is across the border, but it’s close enough that it might be an option for you. Of course, you’d be driving right past Lasalle if you take the Peace Bridge.
Fort Erie provides a live stream of the skatepark–you can see if the park is crowded before you go.

Outer Harbor DIY
Location 702 Fuhrmann Boulevard, Buffalo, NY 14203
Description DIY in Buffalo’s Outer Harbor. The surface is concrete, and the middle is slightly raised above the rest of the park. Some spots are prone to flooding.
There’s another, smaller DIY down the road.
March 2024 update The DIY is in good shape. A new (unusually short) flat rail was installed (bolted to the concrete).

Yates Park
Location 200 N Lake Dr, Orchard Park, NY 14127
Description Pre-fab concrete features on an unskatable asphalt surface. The park is likely to be flooded long after the season’s snow has melted. The only good thing about this skatepark is that it’s always empty.
